<div style="text-align: center;" data-start="207" data-end="402">Progressive 3yo old Sulek delivered on his early promise yesterday at Sandown, breaking his maiden in impressive fashion second up for Dominic Sutton and jockey Billy Egan. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;" data-start="404" data-end="679">After a strong debut when finishing third at Mornington, Sulek took natural improvement into his second outing and put them away with authority. Settling beautifully and letting down strongly in the straight, it was a performance that confirmed the talent he&rsquo;s shown at home.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;" data-start="681" data-end="899">Jockey Billy Egan, who also partners Group 1 winner Feroce, was aboard again continuing his successful association with the Sutton stable and with the progeny of Super Seth, sire of both Feroce and Sulek.</div>

Sulek Breaks His Maiden in Style at Sandown

The stable celebrated a bold performance on Sunday when After Summer led throughout to claim victory in the Crown Oaks Preview over 1800 meters at Flemington.
The 3yo filly, ridden by Billy Egan, produced a tactical, front-running effort in what turned into a sprint home, breaking clear in the final stages to win with ease.&nbsp;
After Summer is by The Autumn Sun out of Al Jasrah. She was purchased for $170,000 from Arrowfield&rsquo;s Inglis Easter draft by Sutton Racing and Byron Rogers, with plans toward Oaks targets in mind.&nbsp;
This was her third race start. In her earlier runs she finished fourth at Seymour over 1400m and then seventh at Sandown Hillside 1500m in her second outing.&nbsp;The Flemington win marked her maiden victory.
Her dam, Al Jasrah, has now produced five winners from as many foals to race.&nbsp;
With the preview now under her belt, Dom will plot a path toward November&rsquo;s Group 1 VRC Oaks 2500m.&nbsp;For now, After Summer&rsquo;s display at Flemington signals she may well be a filly to watch in the spring staying divisions.

After Summer shines in Flemington Oaks Preview for Sutton

After several encouraging runs, Swing Your Magic delivered a strong performance at Wodonga to claim his maiden victory in the Naubro Kerb Maiden Plate over 1400m.
Ridden confidently by Billy Egan, the 4yo gelding controlled the race from a handy position and kicked clear in the straight to win by 2.3 lengths. It was a well-deserved breakthrough for the stable after the gelding&rsquo;s consistent recent form.
By Per Incanto out of Swing A Deel, Swing Your Magic had shown promise in previous starts, and Sutton&rsquo;s patience was rewarded in style.
With the maiden win now behind him, the team will look to build on this momentum.

Swing Your Magic Breaks Through at Wodonga

Jenni La Rock broke her maiden in style over 1100m, with Billy Egan in the saddle. The mare travelled beautifully throughout the race and showed great determination in the run home to notch up her first career victory.
Jenni La Rock was recently purchased through Inglis Digital by managing owner Will Gardner. Since joining our stable, she has thrived in her work, and it was incredibly rewarding to see her deliver first up for such a fantastic ownership group.
Getting that first win on the board is always special, and to do so at her first outing with us makes the result even more rewarding.

Jenni La Rock Breaks Through at Tatura

Four-year-old Tavistock mare Flash of Dallas delivered a dominant performance to break her maiden at Pakenham Synthetic.
In her fourth start since joining the Sutton Racing team, the mare&mdash;guided by the in-form Billy Egan&mdash;looked in peak condition for the &lsquo;Duffy &amp; Simon Lawyers&rsquo; Maiden Plate over 2200m.
After a narrow miss, when stepping out over 2000m in her previous start, Dallas thrived in the step up to 2200m. She tracked the favourite throughout, before making her move late to secure a well-deserved win.
It was a great result for connections in the renowned Balhus Racing, and we&rsquo;re hopeful it marks the first of many.
Settling mid-field, Dallas comfortably followed the well-supported Rotating Soul.&nbsp;The pair travelled smoothly, with Egan rating her perfectly throughout the race. Turning for home, Dallas was full of running. She angled out around the favourite and, from the 200m mark, quickly drew level and surged ahead, crossing the line 2.25 lengths clear.
The mare showed her class, putting the race away in the final stages with an impressive, confident victory. It&rsquo;s clear that she&rsquo;s really matured this campaign.
A fantastic win for the formerly Western Australian-trained mare, who has placed in every start since joining the team at Flemington.

Dallas Flashes Home

It may not be ideal beach weather right now, but three-year-old filly A Beach In June is certainly thriving. The lightly raced daughter of Omaha Beach relished the Soft 5 conditions at Geelong to notch her maiden victory.
Having her second start this campaign, June showed solid improvement from her first-up run to take out the &lsquo;Ladbrokes Odds Surge&rsquo; Maiden Plate over 1400m, partnered by in-form jockey Daniel Moor.
Jumping from barrier ten, she began smartly&mdash;winning the start and pressing forward to settle outside the leader. Travelling comfortably throughout, despite a loose horse to her right, she dug deep with a sustained run to draw clear over the concluding stages and score by three-quarters of a length.
Bred by Hesket Bloodstock, the filly has really matured this preparation. Given a well-judged ride by Moor, it was rewarding to see her break through at just her sixth start. A lovely type with a great temperament, she looks poised to continue progressing through the grades.

June’s Maiden Breakthrough

The midweek meeting at Sandown saw talented four-year-old mare Nodachi secure her second win of the campaign, claiming the Benchmark 64 &lsquo;Thoroughbred Club of Australia&rsquo; Handicap over 1400m.
Ridden&nbsp;brilliantly by young apprentice Tom Prebble, who made the most of Nodachi&rsquo;s early speed. Jumping from a wide gate, Prebble showed great initiative, crossing to lead on a track that strongly favoured front-runners&mdash;with the rail clearly the place to be.
A month between runs was a key factor for Nodachi who thrived in her freshened state, striding forward to lead throughout. Prebble kept her balanced and comfortable, whilst being able to dictate the tempo of the race.
Aware of her short, sharp sprinting style, Prebble timed the run perfectly. Turning for home full of running, Nodachi surged off the bend with a sharp kick, putting two lengths on the field and powering up the rise.
Grinding through the final stages, Nodachi held off a fast-finishing Grid Girl, with momentum carrying her across the line in a tenacious display.
A consistently honest performer, she was perfectly placed by trainer Dominic Sutton and tactically well-rated by her jockey. The win highlighting the mare&rsquo;s adaptability and determination.
It was fantastic to chalk up another victory for long-time stable supporters David Moodie and Ash Hardwick. A particularly special thrill for young Tom Prebble, whose father, Brett Prebble, wore the Contract Racing colours to Group 1 glory in the 2010 Golden Slipper aboard Crystal Lily.
This marks the fourth career win for the No Nay Never mare, out of Kaiken (by Exceed and Excel), raced by Hesket Bloodstock.

Another Win for Nodachi

Four-year-old Pierro mare The Right Page led all the way and held off a looming favourite to break her maiden with a strong win over 2050m at Wodonga.
Having just her fourth career start, the mare relished the step up in distance. Partnered by jockey Will Price, the pair took luck out of the equation, crossing from barrier seven to take up the running.
Jumping cleanly, she secured a soft lead but maintained a genuine tempo throughout, kept honest by pressure from the race favourite sitting in second. Perfectly placed in this field and well rated by Price, the duo left nothing to chance&mdash;putting a gap on the competition as they straightened. The mare kept on solidly, proving just too good with the rest unable to catch her, winning by an impressive 1.75 lengths.
A fantastic result for connections, particularly Bennett Racing&mdash;ardent supporters of the stable who have shared a long-standing association with Dom since his days travelling with The Astrologist.

Legend Of Dubai proved that age is just a number, breaking through for his first Australian win at the ripe old age of seven.
Partnered by in-form apprentice Logan Bates, the pair delivered a masterful performance to claim the Benchmark 64 over 1400m at Pakenham on Thursday night.
Having begun his career with Godolphin in England, the well-travelled son of Dubawi was an affordable purchase from the Inglis Digital Sale, acquired by Lizzie Jelfs and the team at Sutton Racing.
Returning from a spell, the gelding was prepared at Flemington, where he impressed with two strong jump outs ahead of his resumption.
Jumping cleanly from a favourable barrier four, the duo settled into stride quickly, pressing forward to sit outside the leader. Bates rated him beautifully, biding his time and allowing the gelding to stalk the pace throughout&mdash;ready to strike when the moment arrived.
Having travelled sweetly throughout, the gelding drew level from the 300m mark and let down with a solid dash over the final furlong, driving through to win by a length.

Old Boy's Still Got It

As Dom and Raquel and their bloodstock team gear up for NZB's 2024 Ready to Run&nbsp;Sale it seems only fitting to go back to where it started with stable star Feroce.&nbsp;
This gelding by Super Seth was purchased in 2023 out of NZ in conjunction with Bloodstock Agent Johnny McKeever.&nbsp;
Feroce was an impressive winner breaking his maiden on debut at Pakenham and has trained on to be a Group 1 place getter since. Only marginally been beaten in the Group 1 Caufield Guineas and placing 3rd in the Carbine Club Stakes.&nbsp;
Feroce provided Sutton Racing with many of their firsts; first winner, first Saturday metropolitan winner, first Spring Carnival feature. Earning well over $700,000.00 in prize money for his connections.&nbsp;
